According to the OC Varsity website, No. 3 Orange Lutheran pounded No. 1 Mater Dei, 31-12.
God is good.
Meanwhile, my alma mater, No. 2 Servite High School, has beaten St. John Bosco 31-13. There'll be no ringing of the Victory Bell at Bosco tonight.
According to Steve Fryer, that means the Friars will be No. 1 in OC going into the Servite-Mater Dei game at Anaheim Stadium on Nov. 9 for a long overdue reckoning.
Go Friars!
That really bites that we lost to Orange Lutheran again. Coach Rollinson is losing his touch. I think a friendly wager is in order here Jubal. If Servite wins I will buy you lunch, if MD prevails then you have to treat me. I wish I could go to the game, but I'm heading up to nocal next weekend for the CRA Presidential Endorsing Convention.

Jubal you need to fix the headline.

Sounds weird. Its missing some words.

You're on, Allan!

Servite doesnt stand a chance! We just keep beating you guys over and over and over again. Servite may be No. 1 now, but November 10th they will be back to No. 2.
Go Monarchs!

Jubal--- I get the Friar enjoyment over a Monarch loss. But saying God is good after the Lutherans beat the Catholics? Get down to that confessional boyo.

No. 1...Oh Yeah, Baby! I've got my son on the field, my alum brothers (of the '82-'83 Friar Dream Team) in the stands and my ticket in hand for Friday night...life is good. Servite High School ~ Raising Faith-Filled leaders. Credo!

BR:
Who's to say the Good Lord can't use our Protestant brethren as His instrument to smite the Monarchs with a well-deserved smiting?

Of course Servite will be No. 1. Their coach is a Crespi alum. Not all good things originate in Orange County. Good luck, Troy!

It only seems fitting that Orange Lutheran beat Mater Dei the week after “Reformation Sunday”! Martin Luther must have been looking down and smiling☺

Nailed-- I get it. Martin Luther's 96th thesis was " Beat Mater Dei."
Jubal--Nice twist on making Lu High the Good Samaritans for the week. Instead of helping the fallen Monarch however, the Lu Samaritans knocked them off their high horse. You probably delighted in Boston College's loss, more to comfort you in your Notre Dame depression.
By the way, the Lu High call for an on side kick on the opening play was one of the best calls based on great scouting that I've seen in high school football. Props to the Protestants and Coach Jim Kunau.

Good basketball tonight. Servite lost Freshman and JV games. Barely won the Varsity game. Servite displays very little class. It is disappointing.
