From the San Gabriel Valley Tribune (H/T to the FlashReport):
Rep. Gary Miller's 33-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, died unexpectedly early Saturday morning, the Brea Republican's office said Sunday.
"Elizabeth was full of life - a vibrant and beautiful young woman who embraced everyone she knew," Miller said. "She was the love of my life and will always be missed. She is in a better place and at peace in God's arms."
Her death follows the abduction last week of three of the congressman's grandsons.
The boys disappeared Nov. 18 after their mother, Jennifer DeJongh, lost sole custody of the boys to Rep. Miller and his wife, Cathy. The boys were the sons of Rep. Miller's son Brian.
Elizabeth grew up in Diamond Bar with her parents and three brothers.

Our prayers and condolences go out to Rep. Miller and his family.
This is horrible. Congressman Miller has not had a very good week. First his grandkids are kidnapped and now his daughter passes away. My prayers and best wishes go out to his family right now.

I wish Mr. Miller would now take time to be with his family and leave politics to others for a time. Too many of these politicos wait until it's too late and the famlies suffer.

My heart goes out to Congressman Miller and his family. Having lost a child, I for one know the road ahead of them. It is difficult beyond words, but one whose destination brings acceptance and eventually comfort in the memory of the lost loved one. The family is in my thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow.
