Senator Dick Mountjoy – Former CRA President and Leader in the Conservative Movement – Endorses Jeff Miller for the State Assembly
ORANGE COUNTY, CA – Former State Senator Dick Mountjoy has endorsed Jeff Miller for Assembly in the 71st district primary. Mountjoy is immediate past president of the California Republican Assembly and one of the state’s conservative stalwarts.
“I am very pleased that the voters of the 71st Assembly district will have the opportunity to cast their ballots for a great conservative candidate like Jeff Miller,” said Senator Dick Mountjoy. “Conservatives need leaders in the Assembly who are not afraid to stand up and speak out for our values. Jeff has proven himself to be such a leader at the local level and inside the Republican Party.”
Dick Mountjoy, is the original author of Proposition 187, to stop illegal aliens from receiving taxpayer funded benefits. He served in the California State Assembly from 1978 to 1995 and in the State Senate from 1995 to 2000.
Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Miller is the leading Republican candidate to succeed termed-out Assemblyman Todd Spitzer in the 71st district. In addition to Mountjoy, Miller has been endorsed by Congressman Ed Royce, Assemblyman Mike Duvall and a host of other prominent conservatives.

Query,
That former legislator also happened to author an initiative that got 67.1% of the vote in OC and 70.88% in Riverside.
He also is the Immediate-Past President of an organization with more than 100 chapters around the state, with twenty-something of those being in OC and Riverside.
