Maybe this has already been reported in the local media and I just missed it. Maybe not.
In any case, the long-anticipated Board of Supervisors vote on whether to proceed with a legal challenge to the retroactive pension spike granted to the AOCDS back in December 2001 appears to have been postponed because it is nowhere to be found on the Board agenda for Tuesday.
What the Board will do is meet in closed session about which law firm should be hired to represent the county should they move forward with the lawsuit.
Does this mean the legal challenge is losing steam? Seconds thoughts among some of the Supervisors?
Stay tuned!
guess they might just have woke up in time to say some legal fess ----

According to the LA times the firm hired by the BOS to provide an independant review of the Pension Lawsuit raised serious questions about going forward with the case.
In typical John Moorlach fashion, he bulls his way forward and disregards anyone who disagrees. Clearly John will gain some political capital by persuing the pension issue, but at what expense? Maybe he should listen to those who disagree once in a while. If he did, we wouldn't have the Chriss Steet debacle. Ultimately the taxpayers will foot the bill for this risky endeavor and John will be able to walk away saying he gave it his best shot.
The rest of the board should wake up and look at the king...he has no clothes!!

It will be discussed in closed session, where no one will have any input. Thats where John Moorlach likes things that aren't favorable to him.

In Steven Greenhut's posting on Orange Punch he says and I quote “But the report, from what I’ve read.” Isn’t it interesting that the average citizen can’t see the report, due to attorney-client privilage. But John Moorlach mouthpiece, Steven Greenhut has seen this document. Are you the attorney or the client, Mr. Greenhut.
My guess is neither, and if you had an ounce of journalistic integrity you would produce the report you read and let the rest of make up our own minds. I guess you only want us to read what you write. You complain about big Government and all of it’s coverups, yet you continue to protect your political allies in return for the access they give you. Civil Liberties erode when the mass media becomes the mouthpiece for corrupt and self-serving politicians. Great Job Steven as usual, you are on your way to a pulitzer or just on your way out.
