Reliable sources in Garden Grove are telling me that Councilman Bruce Broadwaters will withdraw his charter-law proposal tonight when it is up for consideration. You can click here and here to see Red County/OC Blog past coverage of this issue.
I suspect there is not enough support from the Council for this measure to be placed on the February ballot. For those interested, the Broadwaters proposal, aside from extending term-limits, would also divide the City up into six council districts.
UPDATE (10:49 PM): The meeting ended a while ago with Broadwaters making a motion to withdraw his charter-law from the agenda. The motion received a 5-0 vote.
