The Red County family of blogs has expanded once again and into Northern California for the first time: I am pleased to announce Red County/Placer!
For those who don't know, Placer is a rapidly growing and deeply red county adjacent to Sacramento. Although it has fewer Republicans than Orange County, in percentage terms it is the most Republican County in California at 51.3% GOP.
Red County/Placer is being headed up by my old friend Jeff Flint, who has recruited a talented founding Blogpen, including:
- Ken Campbell, the former chairman of the Republican Party of Placer County who recently made news by yanking his endorsement of Rep. John Doolittle.
- Aaron Park, long-time conservative blogger and proprietor of Roseville Conservative.
Jeff Flint himself rounds it out with the pseudonymous Art Vandelay, as well as FR Blog's Jon Fleischman.
Red County/Placer has only been up-and-running for six days, but is already attracting the attention of Sacto-area media and politicos.
Congratulation to the Red County family! We need to expand this communication tool to every county in California.
