Andy Favor

Your posts encouraged me to get out and buy a Raymond Chandler book. I cannot believe I had never read one before. I wanted to get "The Long Good Bye," but it was not in stock so I got "Farewell My Lovely."

I have not made very much progress yet. I was finishing "The World is Flat" and I have 3 more pages to go on that one.

But I am looking forward to a fun read. Thanks for posting the quotes to draw me in.

Just spreading the good word about a great artist of the English language.

And "Farewell, My Lovely" is an excellent choice -- it's tied with "The Little Sister" as my personal Chandler favorite. The "Bay City" in this and other Chandler books is really Santa Monica.
