Michelle Steel Appoints Ken Maddox As Director Of Legislative Affairs
(PALOS VERDES) – Board of Equalization Member-elect Michelle Steel announces the appointment of former Orange County Assemblyman Ken Maddox as Director of Legislative Affairs. Maddox will use his extensive public policy experience to sponsor legislation in the State Legislature and advise the Board Member on tax policy before the Board.
“I am honored to work for a fiscal watchdog like Michelle Steel,” said State Assemblyman Ken Maddox (ret.). “Taxpayers can trust Michelle Steel to protect us from higher taxes and government waste.”
Previously, Ken Maddox served as President of Maddox Government Relations. Over the past decade, Ken Maddox has represented Orange County as an elected official, beginning on the Garden Grove City Council and culminating with six years in the California State Assembly. Dedicated to public service, Ken Maddox has been an Army officer, volunteer firefighter, and police officer.
“In the State Assembly, Ken Maddox had a reputation for being an anti-tax, fiscal conservative,” commented Board of Equalization Member-elect Michelle Steel. “I look forward to Ken using his experience in the Legislature to serve the taxpayers of the Third District.”
Elected to the Board of Equalization in 2006, Michelle Steel serves as the country’s highest-ranking Korean-American officeholder and California’s highest-ranking Republican woman. She represents the Third District, including the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, Imperial and San Bernardino.
I know he's been looking for work for a while and trying to avoid being a school teacher. Way to go Ken! Congratulations!

Guess the lobbying business wasn't as good as he wanted everyone to believe.
But since when does Maddox have experience in tax policy. Does alimony count?

Ken will be able to influence policy far more than he could have had he won his bid for the state senate.
BTW. Whatever happened to Ken's opponent in that race? I don't hear anything about him any more.
