CWLA PAC Endorses Councilmember Janet Nguyen for Orange County Supervisor In The First District
(Orange County, CA) -- The California Women's Leadership Association (CWLA) Political Action Committee (PAC) today announced their endorsement of Garden Grove City Councilmember Janet Nguyen in her campaign for Orange County Supervisor in the First District.
"Janet Nguyen will be an exceptional and highly effective Supervisor," said Susie Caskey, President of the Orange County Chapter. "Her years of experience as an elected official in Orange County and her impressive knowledge of the district and the concerns of its constituency make her an ideal candidate for Supervisor, and CWLA PAC is thrilled to support her in this endeavor."
The First District of Orange County is made up of portions of Garden Grove, Santa Ana and Westminster. Councilmember Nguyen has been serving the City of Garden Grove since 2004, and in her 2006 re-election received the most votes out of nine candidates in Garden Grove. Janet has served on the Garden Grove Planning Commission, the Garden Grove Traffic Commission, and was a former board member of the Orange County Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board. She has worked for two former Chairman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors and former Orange County Assemblyman as the District Director.
"It is the goal of the CWLA PAC to elect fiscally conservative candidates to local and state office," said Julie Vandermost, Statewide president of CWLA. "Endorsing Janet and supporting her as she becomes Orange County's next Supervisor promotes our top objective, as she clearly emulates the ambitions of the CWLA PAC."
The CWLA PAC considers candidates' positions on taxes, business regulation and local control. CWLA PAC's number one priority is to elect more Republican Women to the California State Legislature. For more information, visit www.cwla.us or contact Jennifer Fitzgerald at (714) 441-0200.
The other candidates should just forget about filing to run because Janet can't be beat now! You Go Girl!

This is a sisterhood endorsement. However, these beach city babes have no pull up here.

Shocking. The woman group endorsed the woman candidate.

Janet is 2 for 2 in the endorsement chase.
And while most of these women live outside the district - they have money.

Mark Rosen has the endorsement of the last Republican to hold the seat. Janet has no real endorsements. Check her website.

Just heard Janet's commercial on Vietnamese radio -- she may want to pull it. Her Vietnamese is not very clear as I think she may have come to the US when she was little, and I think it may backfire on her.

I don't know how meaningful this endorsement is:
First of all, another group that endorsed before filing.
Second, do they know that the one to get the most votes in 2006 was DINA Nguyen, not Janet?
Janet wasn't even up for re-election this year.
Tells you how much they know about their "endorsed" candidate...pfft.

Correction? Are you delusional? Janet didnt run for council in the last election. Her term is not up till 2008.

Lucas, did you even bother reading the CWLA press release? It said that Janet was the top vote getter in 2006 - in fact it was Dina, not Janet who still has 2 years left in her current term.

Mailman,
thanks for the correction. i didnt bother to read the press release. But youre right its a typo or missive on the part of the CWLA. Thats a real guffah on their part. Thats why I was surprised to read Corrections statement.

That's three typos in three different press releases from the Janet Nguyen campaign. The best was the spelling of Nguyen as Nyguan.
Perhaps, it's like Paul Lucas say's somone is "delusional" and the work on Janet Nguyen's camp.
Paul, are you the candidate that was supporting Tan Nguyen. I saw a Lucas sign on his store front for weeks. Was that You? Shame on you! And now you are supporting another Nguyen who believed last year that the illegal immigration issue would win her Van Tran's seat.
You know how to pick them! How's Tan doing?

Bubba,
You need to take a nap.

Dear Paul:
"Missive": noun: literally, letter intended to be sent: a written communication : LETTER
I dont think that word means what you think it means.
Let's chip in and get Paul a dictionary for Xmas.

Let's debate Paul's posts but in the spirit of Christmas let's be a little kinder to Paul. There may be others who would like to post but are fearful of getting the Paul treatment if they do so. Merry Christmas to all!

Why would Joe Dunn want to be a County Supervisor?
The only reason to run is to make more money (which Joe doesn't need) or an excuse to get out of the house.
