Thirty-five board members for the county agency that kills ants and rodents? Talk about bloated bureaucracy.

Chuck DeVore

This is why I tried to reduce that number down to 11: 2 from each Supervisorial district and one from the Board of Supervisors -- all electeds.

The idea was voted down in the Local Government on a party line vote with all five Democrats voting to maintain the status quo.

Ironically, this would have made the board membership the same size as when it started back in 1947.

All the best,

Chuck DeVore
State Assemblyman, 70th District

Well, thanks for trying anyway, Chuck.

You can't fight the System, I suppose.

Chuck DeVore

You can fight the system -- winning is the challenge!

That NO vote by Fullerton's own favorite flatfoot Don Bankhead would only be surprising if the guy weren't running for re-election to his millionth term.

I just got a letter from the Vector Control staff saying they are going to bring a new proposal to spike pensions to the Board at the December 15 meeting. I'm sending it to Greenhut...and will have a word with our city's rep.
