H/T to Silence Dogood for reminding me of the Frank Mickadeit column I left out of the News Roundup in a sin of omission. Frank writes on the implosion of the Aliso Viejo Republican Women Federated Club.
It's too bad these Fedders expend so much energy on internal catfights. I don't know about the Aliso Viejo club, but Fedder clubs in general are disappearing. It's strange when you go to a meeting and see members who are under 40. Many of the members date their political involvement back to the Goldwater or Nixon campaigns.
The kind of catfight Mickadeit writes about is a sign of a club in decline.
What's more disturbing is that they would air out their dirty laundry to a newspaper columnist. This is exactly the kind of controversy that should be taken care of 'within the family' - not on the pages of the OC Register.
