Once again, the Blogosphere has uncovered and illuminated a major international issue that might have otherwise gone uncovered or under reported. Eason Jordan, Executive Vice President and Chief News Executive of CNN resigned Friday for remarks he made in Europe, actually accusing coalition forces in Iraq of targeting journalists.
As well, a number of major Bloggers immediately formed Easongate.com as a “clearinghouse” for the groundswell of information and opinion that erupted from the Internet over this incident. Michelle Malkin, as usual, has also been excellent in covering this major black eye for the Clinton News Network. It seems everyone involved even beat Drudge to the story.
Jordan can now join Dan Rather in glorious, overcompensated retirement as the result of an alert Blogger.
