Red County's 2nd Issue Is Out!

The second issue of Red County magazine is wending its way through the United States postal system. Readers of the first issue will notice a marked change in the look and design, the result of our own internal critique and reader feedback. The result is a first-rate magazine.

A sampling of articles from the second issue is posted over at Red County.com. They include:

  • The cover story on former New York City Mayor and GOP presidential front-runner Rudy Giuliani.
  • A Michael Medved piece on Apocalypto, Mel Gibson and the divergent view of both by the Hollywood establishment and the movie-going public.

More From Red County Magazine: Jennifer Cowen-Fitzgerald On "Women's Issues"

Red County Magazine Debuts

Rc_122006_1 After much shedding of blood, sweat and tears, the inaugural first issue of Red County magazine is winding its way through the postal system, and should be arriving in the mail boxes of fortunate recipients as I write.

I'll quote Editor Scott Graves:

In this and future issues we intend to deliver a high quality bi-monthly publication targeting center-right readers on topics that impact their lives. From business, lifestyle, and politics to education, technology, and real estate, the magazine will frame the discussions through a center-right point of view.

At its core, Red County magazine is about a set of values shared by its readers and reflected by the unique demographics of this "red" county. It is a set of values characterized by the broad principles of limited government, lower taxes, less bureaucracy, and personal responsibility. Through the ebb and flow of political discourse, positions, parties and people will change, but these values will not.

For readers who like to get a flavor of the magazine, here are two articles from the inaugural issue: "Why Red County" by Red County founder Tracy Price, and my profile of the Lincoln Club of Orange County.

If you like what you read and are interested in being a subscriber to the magazine, just send off an e-mail with your name, address and phone number.
