Announcing Red County/Placer

Blog_header_placer The Red County family of blogs has expanded once again and into Northern California for the first time: I am pleased to announce Red County/Placer!

For those who don't know, Placer is a rapidly growing and deeply red county adjacent to Sacramento. Although it has fewer Republicans than Orange County, in percentage terms it is the most Republican County in California at 51.3% GOP.

Red County/Placer is being headed up by my old friend Jeff Flint, who has recruited a talented founding Blogpen, including:

Jeff Flint himself rounds it out with the pseudonymous Art Vandelay, as well as FR Blog's Jon Fleischman.

Red County/Placer has only been up-and-running for six days, but is already attracting the attention of Sacto-area media and politicos.

Red County/San Bernadino Blog Launched Today

The Red County family of political blogs grew again today with the launching of Red County/San Bernardino. Heres' the inaugural post by RC/San Bernardino Editor Adam Aleman:

Welcome to Red County/San Bernardino.  Population:  312,832 Republicans. 279,189 Democrats.

This website aims to serve as a weblog of breaking news, opinions, and developments that feature prominent San Bernardino County newsmakers.  Red County San Bernardino is a sister website of Red County internet locations from Orange County, San Diego County and Riverside County.

As the title of the website states, we admittedly offer developing news and analysis from the political center-right.  However, from time to time, we plan on presenting press releases, opinion editorials and news articles without commentary from those on the philosophical center-left.  Click here to read our official “launch” press release.

In our inaugural blogpen, you will note that we are featuring ten talented writers who have a sharp eye on political developments in San Bernardino County.  As contributors, we feature elected officials, current and former state legislative aides, and the executive director of the San Bernardino County Republican Party.  Of course, we plan on expanding our blogpen with exciting opinion leaders in the coming days ahead.

Please feel free to read our posts, visit our links and send us feedback.  Be sure to leave comments on our entries, if you are so moved.  We look forward to being a source of news and information for you, our readership.

Welcome to Red County/San Bernardino.
