My friend Larry Dick -- businessman, MWDOC Director and GOP candidate for the 60th Assembly District -- is having a couple of fundraisers this week.
I' learned last week that Tim Escobar has decided against seeking the GOP nomination in the 60th Assembly District (apologies for the delay in posting -- got busy). That leaves the field OC-er Larry Dick (a Municipal Water District of Orange County director) and San Bernardino County's Curt Hagman (Mayor Pro Tem of Chino Hills). As far as I know, La Habra Heights Councilman Stan Carroll is still pondering the race but hasn't made a decision. So there's still no LA County candidate in this tri-county Assembly District.
During the past couple of weeks, I've heard a new name talked about as a en trant into the AD60 GOP primary sweepstakes:
