This came over the transom a little while ago from Schubert Flint Public Affairs:

SCHUBERT FLINT PUBLIC AFFAIRS WINS AWARDS

In partnership with the Orange County Transportation Authority, Schubert Flint Public Affairs took home top honors from the Orange County Public Relations Society of America

ANAHEIM, CA – In conjunction with the Orange County Transportation’s (OCTA) External Affairs Team, Schubert Flint Public Affairs (SFPA) won two Protos and three Awards of Excellence from the Orange County chapter of the Public Relations Society of America for the “Promises Made, Promises Kept: Communicating Measure M” campaign.

“Promises Made, Promises Kept: Communicating Measure M,” was a multi-faceted public involvement effort that utilized earned media, grassroots, coalition development direct mail, and face-to-face meetings to communicate with local elected officials, community stakeholders, business leaders and the public at large. The effort communicated to the target audiences the county-wide traffic improvements made possible as a result of Measure M funding.

OCTA and SFPA were awarded the following:

• “Award of Excellence” for Community Relations/Institutional Programs
• “Protos” for Total Program – Non-Profit
• “Award of Excellence” for Media Relations
• “Award of Excellence” for Public Affairs
• “Protos” for News Release – Non-Profit

“This was a intensive and complicated campaign that involved many moving parts, including community relations, public affairs and media relations to deliver results for our client,” said Jeff Flint, SFPA partner and “Promises Made, Promises Kept” campaign manager. “Working hand-in-hand with the OCTA External Affairs Team, we were able to successfully communicate the great transportation improvements made possible by Measure M. At the end of the campaign, all our target audiences knew that placing the renewal of Measure M on the ballot was the key to keeping Orange County moving.”
