Raymond Chandler Quote of the Week: Feb. 18-24, 2007

I looked at the ornaments on the desk. Everything standard and all copper. A copper lamp, pen set and pencil tray, a glass and copper ashtray with a copper elephant on the rim, a copper letter opener, a copper thermos bottle on a copper tray, copper corners on the blotter holder. There was a spray of almost copper-colored sweet peas in a copper vase. It seemed like a lot of copper.

Well, I finished "Farewell My Lovely." It was quite good. I hate to admit it, but I fell for every red herring in the book.

I will have to get another Raymond Chandler. But it will have to wait until I finish "Pride and Predjudice." I started that one and I would like to get it finish so I can watch the 5 hours PBS version I got my daughter for Christmas.

So many books, so little time.

what a hook - now i wanna read this book. Does anybody know of a books on CD / mp3 version?
