Carlos Bustamante Garners Key Endorsement Generation Next endorses Supervisorial Candidate

SANTA ANA, CA – Generation Next, an influential organization of young business and community leaders announced today their endorsement of Carlos Bustamante in the election to fill the vacancy on Orange County’s Board of Supervisors.

In a statement released by Generation Next Political Affairs Committee Chairman Todd Rustman, the organization noted the following, “We look for candidates who have bright futures because they are knowledgeable, principled, direct, and articulate.  Carlos possesses each quality complemented with a vision to reduce the size of county government and make it more efficient and accountable.  As a result, he is the best equipped to execute solutions that will have the biggest impact in the years and decades to come.  Gen NeXt is pleased to endorse Carlos Bustamante for District 1 of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.

Generation Next bills itself as a “center-right network of young, innovative, and accomplished leaders committed to taking on the challenges facing the next generation.”

Carlos Bustamante, a Santa Ana City Councilmember, stated “I am especially proud that after listening to multiple candidates, Generation Next’s Board of Directors voted to endorse my candidacy.  I am honored to have the support of this dynamic group of community activists.”

The Generation Next endorsement is especially prized in this fast paced election.  With the election on February 6th, raising money quickly is at a premium in this campaign…and that is exactly what Generation Next has the capability to do.

The 1st Supervisor District includes the communities of Santa Ana, Westminster, Garden Grove and Midway City.

This is a cute little press release for which I'm sure Carlos is paying Lewis/Holder dearly but means nothing in terms of the race. If Claudia files Carlos can get the endorsements of GenPast, GenPresent, and GenNext and it won't help him get past 5th place in this race.

So now we know who the liberals are backing.

GenNex members are a bunch of spoiled rich kids like Haidl and the son of Paul Machasasasrroian who owns the St. Regis Hotel.

So the kids who's dads pay $10K a year for them to feel like political players have chosen to endorse a guy because he is "knowledgeable, principled, direct, and articulate?" This is a throw-away press release if ever there was one.

Jubal,

"So What?" is probably Art Pedroza or one of his fellow idiots from Orange Juice spreading vicious rumors again. Maybe this kind of filth is okay over on his site, but it shouldn't be okay here.

With board members like Manuel Ramirez who is best known for his poltical tin ear (Carlos and Manuel are board members of yet to be charted Santa Ana Business Bank), this endorsement means nothing.

This group is an off-shoot of Hispanic 100 which is a joke.

By the way, did the GenNex board interview any other candiates? The answer is "no".

Why won't "disgusted/Tim Whitacre" post using his real name?

Anon 4:16,

The "marine" isn't that bold. As long as he takes the hill and does it without anyone knowing, he has succeeded. It's the age-old element of surprise.

SHHH!... *quietly* semper fi.
