CWLA PAC Endorses Mimi Walters For 33rd Senate District

Mimi Walters Endorsed for State Senate by California Women's Leadership Association PAC

(Orange County, CA) -- The California Women's Leadership Association (CWLA) PAC endorsed Assemblyman Mimi Walters in her campaign for the State Senate. Walters announced her intent to run for the seat held by Senate Republican Leader Dick Ackerman, who cannot run for re-election due to term limits.

"It has been eight years since there was a Republican woman in the State Senate; that's eight years too long. Mimi Walters has been an outstanding member of the State Assembly and she will make an extraordinary State Senator. While we do not normally endorse candidates this early in the process, Mimi's strong commitment to fiscal conservatism and her impressive record as a state legislator contributed to our early and enthusiastic support of her candidacy," said Janice Glaab, CWLA PAC Chair. "Mimi's victory is our PAC's number one priority."

Mimi Walters was just re-elected to her second term in the State Assembly, receiving over 73% of the vote. She already has the support of Senate Republican Leader Dick Ackerman, Assemblyman Chuck DeVore and Assemblyman Todd Spitzer for her campaign for State Senate.

The California Women's Leadership Association's endorsement of Mimi Walters comes nearly two years before the 2008 General Election.
