Steve Greenhut has a posted a couple of items about Assemblyman Lynn Daucher, the front-runner for the 34th Senate District GOP nomination, where she faces conservative Lupe Moreno.
From last week:
Kudos to Umberg on Measure A: Where is Daucher?
From Steven Greenhut:
Democratic Supervisor Lou Correa has voted in favor of Measure A, a countywide anti-eminent domain initiative. And now Assemblyman Tom Umberg has strongly supported it. As you know, Correa will battle Umberg in the 34th Senate District primary. The Republican, Assemblywoman Lynn Daucher, has adamantly opposed any eminent domain reform in the Legislature. That's why I nicknamed her "the Bulldozer."
Where is she on Measure A? She should at least have the courage of her convictions and argue why she thinks it's OK for government to take the property of working class people and give it to Wal-Mart, Costco and wealthy developer interests.

And from today:
National Planned Parenthood Says It Elected Daucher
From Steven Greenhut:
The pro-abortion group Planned Parenthood must be thrilled now that Republican leaders (i.e. Dick Ackerman) have used all their political might to assure that a pro-choice candidate will win the 34th District senate seat. This is from the Planned Parenthood Web site, boasting about Lynn Daucher's original election to the Assembly:
"Approximately 25,000 GOTV automated telephone calls were made to newly identified pro-choice voters that helped elect three new pro-choice legislators. In Orange County, PPOSBC/CAF helped re-elect Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, State Senator Joe Dunn, and Assembly member Lou Correa in addition to newly elected Republican Assembly members Lynn Daucher and Tom Harman."

Lynn Daucher...pro abortion and anti private property....boy the New Majority sure can pick em. I've always said they have more money than sense. I guess this proves it.
