OC Registrar Election Link
Here's the link to the OC Registrar elections returns site for the 35th Senate District special elections.
If you are a true, he-man political junkie's political junkie, you will stare continuously at the countdown clock until the first returns are posted. And if you are an opportunistic fair-weather friend, you will then proceed to the election night party of the winning candidate.
What about the she-woman political junkie?

Yeah -- her too.

Or we could just throw in the towel early, figuring we won't get REAL results until tomorrow earliest!

Where is the Harkey party?

This, of course, is totally false. But then again so is much of what one finds on the internet these days.

In the case of a tie, Mike Schroeder and Jon Fleischman will make and second a motion to the Registrar's office that Harman actually said something offensive the week before and therefore, Harkey is entilted to the election.
In case of a slim victory by Tom Harman, Matt Holder will file an ethics complaint with the endorsements committee, who will then have a motion made by Mike Schroeder and seconded by Jon Fleischman alledging that many falsehoods were brought forth by Tom Harman, by tweaking and miscontruing commments, thereby giving Scott Baugh the excuse to find special circumstances exists to re-do the election.
Scott Baugh will then protest greatly with the Registrar of Voters, arguing that since it is between two Republicans, an elite group within the OCGOP have jurisdiction over the matter. A re-vote will be ordered.
This process will continue until Diane Harkey finally wins.
This is what's known as the Mike "Al Gore" Carona Approach to endorsements and elections.

A revote happens in the 35th Senate District every four years.
A revote can happen at central committee once a month.
Your candidate has another shot at the endorsement, why are you firing away at the Republican Party?

For once Tim Whitacre actually comes to a correct conclusion not matter how twisted the road he takes....."Diane Harkey finally wins".

Tim:
Your attempt to shoehorn the Sheriff's race into comments about the Harkey-Harman election is going beyond obsessive.
There are other campaigns in Orange County.

Easy Tim, you should lick your wounds in private!

Are we having fun yet?

So far, not so good:
TOM HARMAN (REP) 24402 38.7%
DIANE HARKEY (REP) 23730 37.6%
LARRY CABALLERO (DEM) 14960 23.7%

I heard there are still Rock, Paper, Scissors competitions.
Certainly beats the ol' "smoke filled back room" mode of deciding on a winner.

Why should Tim lick his wounds in private, when he was publically AMBUSHED, acused of making false statements, and required to go before a commitee, that set him up and are on Carona's payroll.
Tim keep up the good work!!
