Not much to say today, other than to direct you to some must reads for this day in September:
The OC Register editorial on the coming Orange County pension meltdown (some fine commentary from Steve Greenhut -- we presume).
This excellent Byron York column, presenting facts about President Bush's Air National Guard servive that I have never, ever seen in the mainstream media -- which would have you think Bush was shirker, when in fact the time he put into Guard service went well beyond what he was required to do. Next time someone you know trots out the bogus "Bush was AWOL" accusation, this column gives you all the ammunition you need to shoot them down in flames.
A terrific column by radio personality/uber-blogger Hugh Hewitt about John Kerry playing footsie with the Sandinistas (remember them?) back in the mid-1980s. Ah, those were heady times for the Left -- before the collapse of world communism and socialism completely discredited their philosophy of foreign relations.
